Normenausschuss Kunststoffe (FNK) the Plastics Standards Committee of DIN represents the standardization interests in the field of plastics manufacturing and plastics processing on the national, European and international level. The scope of FNK includes standardization of terminology, specifications, test methods and welding methods for plastics and plastics-based materials, semi finished products (thermoplastics, thermosets, thermoplastics elastomers, composites and reinforced products, pipes, fittings, floorcoverings, films, sheets for waterproofing, sheets and profiles) as well as the biodegradability, the ageing, chemical and environmental resistance and the recycling of plastics.
